Which lid do you need?
Most disappointment in this category comes from one mismatch: a lid bought for a desk and then carried in a bag. Three questions sort it out, and every answer arrives with its limitation printed next to it rather than buried on the product page.

The three questions are not decoration. Where a piece lives decides the lid it needs, how much you carry decides the size, and the thing you would not compromise decides which of the two to give up when they conflict.
The conflict is real and worth naming. The pieces with the most colourways are mugs and tumblers, and those are the ones with sliding and press-in lids: choose on colour and you are choosing an upright-only piece. The pieces the maker calls leak-proof are the bottles and the straw tumblers, which come in fewer colours and cost a little more. There is no piece in this range that is both the widest colour choice and the strongest lid claim, and pretending otherwise would be the easiest way to make somebody unhappy.
